Disney has fully committed to remaking its animated classics as live-action films, even though they're almost always mediocre.

Snow White (2025) is one of the live-action adaptations of Disney's 1937 classic. The famous movie is directed by Marc Webb and stars Rachel Zegler as Snow White.

But what if Disney had a different relationship between its homegrown animation division and its live-action movies? What if, instead of remaking beloved animated Disney films with flesh-and-blood people, Walt Disney Pictures instead created mid-budget family films out of unrealized concepts for Walt Disney Animation Studios titles?

Disney tried to please everyone, it seems, but ended up pleasing pretty much no one – shall we talk about the attempt to alter the original story so it’s less regressive while still retaining its classic-fairy-tale charms?
