Burrows finally allowed a hit with one out in the top of the fifth inning, as White Sox center fielder Luis Robert Jr. beat out a throw from Gonzales on a ground ball, which went well wide, putting Robert on second base after the error.

The Sox' productive sixth clinched a 10-4 victory against the Pirates for a series win — their first series win after the All-Star break last season came in September. The Sox (34-65) recorded 13 hits on Saturday and have scored 20 runs over a two-game span.

Edgar Quero also homered for Chicago, taking Pirates starter Bailey Falter (6-5) deep in the first inning as the White Sox jumped on Pittsburgh early to win for just the 12th time in 48 road games this season. Andrew Benintendi and Colson Montgomery added two hits and drove in two runs apiece for Chicago.
