In the end, Mao Saigo secured the first LPGA victory of her career with a birdie putt from three feet away on the playoff hole. Hyo Joo Kim, Ruoning Yin, Ariya Jutanugarn and Lindy Duncan were the other four golfers that advanced to the playoff but couldn't beat out Saigo.

Mao Saigo of Japan won the Chevron Championship on Sunday for her first major title, making a 3-foot birdie putt on the first hole of a five-way playoff. Saigo birdied the par-5 18th in regulation for a 2-under 74,

The 2025 Cheveron Championship features a $7.9 million purse and a first-place prize of $1.2 million. Prior to Chevron taking over as title sponsor in 2023, the prize fund lagged behind significantly at $3,100,000.
