The U.S. Supreme Court is scheduled to hear arguments in a yearslong legal battle over an FBI raid on the wrong Atlanta house.

The legal questions were tangled, but some justices seemed incredulous at a government lawyer’s defense of a botched operation involving a battering ram and a flash-bang grenade.

The Supreme Court signaled Tuesday that it will revive a lawsuit from a suburban Atlanta family that was mistakenly held at gunpoint in their bedroom after the FBI accidentally conducted a predawn raid at the wrong address.
