The AMBER Alert issued for a 15-year-old girl from North Richland Hills was deactivated less than an hour after it was issued after she was found safe, according to police. WFAA has removed the girl's name and photo from the story since she has been safely located.

An Amber Alert has been issued for a 15-year-old North Texas girl, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety. Ivanna Gonzalez, who is Hispanic, was last seen at 3 a.m. on April 18 in the 7900 block of Hunter Lane in North Richland Hills.

The AMBER Alert was born in 1996 when local media teamed up with local police to develop an early warning system to find abducted children following the abduction and brutal murder of 9-year-old Amber Hagerman, of Arlington. An AMBER Alert issued Thursday afternoon for a 15-year-old girl from North Richland Hills has been canceled.
