Good afternoon, it is quite a long walk from the car park, out through the courtyard (where the shop/ ticket collection) is. If you were a bit dodgy on your pins or have trouble with your mobility, you'd probably need a chair or at least some assistance to the house. However, it is a very nice walk. Hope this helps.

You will have been given a tour time start but if I were you I would make the most of the day and enjoy all that Castle How's and it's hounds hold. The Boathouse by the lake is worth a visit
