Such a beautiful place to just drift along and snorkel. The coral and fish just beautiful and I’m loving the warm water. Just make sure you are back on the beach before you teach the sand spitFull review by S6009TEsallyg

We were here as part of a cruise excursion and the place was virtually deserted except for those coming from the cruise (which was awesome for us). The water was nice, but it wasn't clear like Aruba.…Full review by Ezedia m

Amazing snorkeling here & no need for a boat. The drift snorkel spot is the best, just walk in one end then short swim to reef where you drift along to the end point. Beware of the current, but it’s …Full review by Thelilaussiebattler
We’re staying in Coral Bay in August - is it possible to drive direct to Turquoise Bay, or will we have to go via Exmouth?

I haven’t done the drive from Coral Bay to Turquoise Bay so I dont know what the state of the dirt track is south of Yardie Creek. I do know that you have to cross the mouth of Yardie Creek though and that is definitely a 4WD job. I’d recommend going via Exmouth.
Hi! We'll be visiting Turquoise Bay toward the end of July and will reach late in the day. Is it safe to start snorkelling around 4PM? Also, what are our chances of seeing turtles during this period? Thanks!

Did you hire your fins and snorkel in Exmouth or bring with you from your home town. If you hired them can you tell me where to go please. Also did you do a tour to the Bay, or drive yourself and do what the others did as far as the DRIFT is concerned? Thanks

Hi everyone has pretty much answered your original question on the stacks themselves definitely best place to snorkel - I also found going just before they say best time to go (high tide) even better - as it is before the tide and the strong drift and waves comes in and easier with younger children to slowly swim across the bay - found it easier with the kids just be careful not to walk on anything as that is why they tell you high tide so less chance of stepping on things - go straight into swim mode to protect the reef. Was teaching my kids from the start to respect the reef :-)
We are thinking of going in June(early June) to visit this lovely beach. Is this a good month to visit? Weather-wise and water temp-wise? Thank you for any insight. :)
