The guide "Nick" was an excellent guide, and the 2 caves we visited were amazing. I recommend Phong Nha caves as the most Beutifull caves I have visited in my life.Full review by Wander51105862926

Which caves can be reached by car, and how long does each take to see? For those that cant be reached by car, how far do you have to walk and are there trail maps somewhere?

Not sure they can be reached by car as a large part of the joy of this excursion is to take the boat up river and to explore the caves from there. If you are able to get there by land, I'm sure Google can help, I'd give yourselves a couple of hours to see everything but you have to remember that some caves are only accessible by boat and you have to join the boats at the start not once at the complex. The best cave is up a huge number of steps which are paved and there are plenty of points to stop and take in the view and buy a cold drink if needed. As for trail maps, again Google should be able to help but not sure if they're really necessary as once you are there it's fairly clear where to go.

Hi Mel, just get a ticket at the ticket office down o the river. The ticket includes a boat trip upstream to the caves where you get dropped off to explore on your own. You are then picked up at a prearranged time and the boat then navigates through a series of caves only accessible by water. It's a great place to visit.
