Monrovia is a town in Monroe Township, Morgan County, in the U.S. state of Indiana. The population was 1,643 at the 2020 census, up from 1,063 in 2010. Monrovia was laid out in 1834. The town's name is derived from Monroe Township, named for James Monroe. A post office has been in operation at Monrovia since 1834.
