The nature and beauty are amazing, no doubt about it. It's a gift to have such a beautiful location right here in WA! The downside is the popularity. The summertime brings TONS of tourist traffic int…Full review by Travel2AZ

I will be travel to HOH Rainforest on June 5th (Wednesday) of this year. What time do the crowds start to thin out? Is getting to the park at 3PM late enough? Also, what is the latest time to enter the park?
A:
We went in at 9. 8 cars ahead. When we came out at 1, 96 Cars in line. I don’t know about late afternoon or how late you can go/get in.
Is there still a 1 to 2 hour wait to get into HOH the first week of October? I am still hearing and seeing the notices to expect long waits from 9 to 5, but then I am also hearing that it is a slow time in October and there is usually no crowds. We are leaving in 1 week. We have the option to go to the HOH on Sunday or Monday, which is the best? Thank you in advance for any help. I have tried to call the visitor centers but I just get a recording.

Do whatever it takes to be in line by 8:30 am. Then the answer is no. We went in then; 8th car in line; about a -5 minute wait. We left at 12:45, having enjoyed a picnic that we had purchased makings for the day before—96 cars waiting to get in On way in, be sure to use the nice restrooms that you will see on your right on the way in, reforestation the Ranger station entry. Clean, and little wait. The ones at the visitor center are nice, but long lines since everybody in the park wants to use them. When we went, the charge card machine was broken. Cash only. Suggest you take $20-50. I wanted to buy mini souvenirs and a hard-covered book. Saw parents robbing from their kids’ spending money.
