Very interesting house and gardens. Although the car park was nearly full the house was not crowded due to timed entry. The gardens were equally uncrowded. There is also a pleasant cafe.Full review by G07

One hour if the visitor is generally interested in the architecture, two hours if interested in Winston Churchill particularly. However the gardens and grounds in their own right are worthy of an hour (two hours if the visitor loves gardens and market gardens). There is a good sized chicken coop too.
Are you allowed to bring a picnic and eat it inside anywhere? My husband and I are on a specific diet and usually can't find much to eat for us in the cafe, but I suspect the weather is going to be rainy when we visit, so we need somewhere inside to eat. I don't fancy having a picnic for 4 people in the car!
