This is a good compact museum which gives excellent coverage to Charleston’s rich history. The very nice lady at the Admission’s counter didn’t mention there was a Senior’s discount. Disgusting!Full review by Greg O

We did the museum in about 2 hours and we love history so we took our time. The house tours didn’t take very long you could definitely hit a few.

If I remember from my visit, there is some metered street parking near the museum and there is a parking structure across the street next to the visitor center. If you're staying in the downtown area, your best bet is just to walk or take public transit to the museum.
