Taxi to the castle - how close would I get/what street would I ask for?

We took a Tuk Tuk to the castle; it was $10 one way and got us close to the castle entrance. The Tuk Tuk can also give you a tour of Alfama ending at the castle Lisboa is awesome!
What time did you go for sunset? I am going to Lisbon in 2 weeks. Did you buy the ticket at the entrance of the castle? Thank you.

As a previous reviewer said, the castle closes before sunset. There are lots of other places to enjoy the sunset without buying a ticket. I suggest the terrace outside the monastery.

I didn’t see any audio guides and they had run out of English guides on the day we visited which were very simple with a map of the castle. I have seen online that it is possible to book a guide but I think it is a private tour. If you are very interested in the history, I recommend you book a guide as we really just experienced it for the uniqueness and views but no understanding of the history. Good luck!
