It does depend on where you are staying. If you are in the centre of the town then it's easily walkable, assuming you are used to walking around places! our friends live in the centre of the town by the common and they and their 12 and 10 year old grandkids walk there and back regularily. Parking for concerts usually gets a lot of adverse comments on tripadvisor so if you can walk then do! Ask at the tourist information in town, as there is a short cut our friends take but I'm not exactly sure of the route to tell you. Your hotel could probably tell you too.
