Hello wonder if anyone can give some advice, my partner and I are coming end of may to hammamet and plan on going on some trips. one in particular we want to do is el jem and we’re wondering if it’s worth booking through the TUI experiences (£120 transportation, entry fee and guide) or is it possible and moreover cheaper to just get a taxi or something there and pay for admission to the amphitheater on the door ? Any suggestions??

We took a taxi from Tunis. It was cheaper and more personal: door to door. We worked out the price to include the tip. I don't remember the price to get into El Jem, but it's nominal. …

Entrance fee for El Jem Amphitheater was 12 Tunisian Dinar when we went in April. Just checked my tickets
