Dr. Burrus is a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon practicing at Ascension Medical Group Orthopedics. He specializes in arthroscopic (minimally invasive) surgery of the knee and shoulder and has a special interest in complex knee and shoulder reconstructions and shoulder replacements. A native of Southeast Texas, Dr. Burrus attended Washington and Lee University where he graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a B.S. in Biology, magna cum laude, and played varsity soccer. During medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, he was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Virginia where he scored in the 100th percentile nationally for his in-training exam and served as Administrative Chief Resident.
