Steeped in history what an amazing place. My second visit and will not be my last. Make sure also go in the gardens and walk around the ruins of the wall the views are fantastic.Full review by W2439FPjaniced

Visiting the castle there is a small cafe on the left as you approach the top. I would recommend you park close to that and hide everything in the boot. The other person has made a good suggestion too. The town has lots of parking that appears safe, otherwise the Hotel dos Templarios is close to the river with a large car park that might be a safe bet.
