Thank you. I had already tried both these things. Several of the tourist offices were either closed or didn't reply San Carlos' website is only available in Portuguese (a language barely spoken outside Portugal) Finally, in desperation, I rang the Concierge at the hotel we are staying in. He emailed me back to say that their season runs from September to July and they don't have any details yet for October 2018. I find this incredible, as Vienna, Berlin, London etc. all have their programmes available. I have also found it difficult to get information in English. Again, I have never had this difficulty in other European capitals. I won't be bothering with Portugal again!
