Park is open throughout the year. No such restrictions other than mating season. You can very well take your personal vehicle; I did the same.

Hello Susan, I booked my safari once I arrived the park. We had a plan which was made ad-hoc with family. However, I had a benefit of knowing the local person who got me access to buy tickets quickly. I would recommend to go to ticket counter and purchase the tickets there only, it would provide you some zone where your safari vehicle will take you. Depending on the driver of vehicle, it is higher possibility to view the tiger as sometimes they take you right at place where tiger is spotted. Another option is to visit the cafe (on right side as you enter the park ticket zone), speak with the cafe owner and he can assist you in getting the best booking (with some convenience fee of course); this is like any tourist spot. Best of luck for your trip and have a good time. Keep some sunglasses, hat, sunscreen as well as mask if you are allergic to dust. You would definitely like the green park. Cheers!!
