Visited here in early January 2025. Definitely worth visiting if you’re in Rochester as it’s opposite the cathedral and near enough to Rochester High Street. Great views of the town, the cathedral… Full review by Josh T

Love it here. Been here about 4 times. Makes for a lovely day out, lots of sights to see. Lots of shops around the site too to buy icecream and coffee etc. Full review by Megan K

Hi, There are most definitely joist holes still visible today.

If you are physically impaired it’s not a good one as there are no lifts tho there are benches at each level did you can do it in stages. The steps are rough and narrow tho there are hand rails. I didn’t count the actual number of steps but there view from the battlements is worth it if you can manage it.
