George Scharmen is board certified in criminal law by both the Texas Board of Legal Specialization and the National Board of Trial Advocacy, and he has been practicing criminal law for over 30 years. He is the founding president of the San Antonio Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, and he is a founding member of the National College for DUI Defense. He serves on the Board of Directors and on select committees of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association. Mr. Scharmen regularly lectures on the topic of DWI defense in seminars throughout the State. As a result of his practice in Texas, Mr. Scharmen is responsible for several appellate cases on which have assisted in the defense of DWI prosecutions.
