It's a big park in the center of town on a steep hillside. With the steep climb it is a bit difficult to explore so I recommend taking a cab to the top to admire the view looking down. Part of gran… Full review by Thomas V

Fabulous views and a lovely park to visit. This is a pretty park, we only stopped just for a little bit on our tour. There might have been a little more to see then we had time allotted. Full review by SpaDiva73

The main station is far from the park but you can take the metro to the sub-station at Marqes de Pombai which is at the downhill side of the park. The walking distance from the train station at Rossio to the landmark statue of Pombai is around half an hour (no side watching of the shops etc.) Nonetheless I consider that it is worth to take a walk through the busy tree-lined boulevard up to the park. There are many shops, statues and cafes along the route provided you have sufficient time. Have a happy trip.
Q:
About how long can you spend at the park? Is it something to do for a whole morning or can it only satisfy about an hour?
A:
About an hour would be enough unless you like plants and want to visit the Estufa Fria ,the three greenhouses with exotic plants which are on the upper left side of the park if you enter …

About an hour would be enough unless you like plants and want to visit the Estufa Fria ,the three greenhouses with exotic plants which are on the upper left side of the park if you enter from the top ; in this case,together with the walk down the park it may take maybe a little more than an hour; once you arrive to the big square at the end of the park ,you have in front of you the Avenida Liberdade,the glamour boulevard of Lisbon with lots shops of world famous brands and which in my opinion is a must to walk on ;

Of course, it depends on what you want to eat! If it is a light meal at the sun you have a esplanade near the top. If you want to eat a fantastic "bacalhau" (codfish) you should walk 10 minutes and try "Laurentina Restaurant". If you want a luxury environment in a very british style try "O Pabe".
Q:
Nearest metro stop please?
A:
metro stop Marques de Pombal. You can take nice pics from the big statue and the park. Than walk to the park and take pics from the statue and the boulavard.
