Hi, Palacio da Ajuda isn’t a castle but a palace and the birthplace of one of Portuguese King. Due to being a royal residence in the pass it got several areas to visit including the bedrooms. Lisbon also have a castle located in one of the 7 hill from Lisbon ( St George Castle) were is possible to enjoy a fantastic view from the city. It is possible to go using the public transport. I hope brought some clarity to your question Cheers Sónia Esteves
