We really enjoyed our visit here. The building is beautiful and the visit pathways are well laid out and there's plenty of room to walk around and see things. Doesn't seem to get all the buzz of so…Full review by Leslie M

First time visit. We took a tour bus from Lisbon which was about 50 minutes but you can take the train as well. We got there right when it opened and we were one of the first groups through. Nice …Full review by lucycan
I see on the website it says that there are disruptions due to works on the building. Especially on the Manueline facade, the chapel, the Jardim da Preta and upper area of gardens; Has anyone experienced this during the month of February 2019 and how bad is it. Many thanks.

Hi there, it is not bad but definitively go early morning to enjoy... from the main station take those hop in hop off bus and when you reach the castle ... you can take the stroller ... the road is good and just little walk to go up the castle.. but if you think it is far... even in the castle they have a bus service . you have to pay 3 £ extra.
Plan to visit the palace this Friday. Question is how long it takes if I book the online ticket in their website? 1 day ahead? Also, after I book online, they send the PDF of version to my email? Or i need to collect my ticket somewhere?
A:
We visited this place in the afternoon, just walked up to the ticket desk and bought tickets. No queue there or anywhere. Very pleasant experience.
At what time does this Palace close on SUNDAYs? I've read some conflicting info, and I'm trying to figure out if I'd be able to visit the palace arriving 12:30p on a Sunday in September. Even if it closes at 2PM, is that enough time? 1.5 hrs?
A:
Yes, for sure. 1h30 will be enough. Early mornings and late afternoon will help to avoid queues.
