I see on the website it says that there are disruptions due to works on the building. Especially on the Manueline facade, the chapel, the Jardim da Preta and upper area of gardens; Has anyone experienced this during the month of February 2019 and how bad is it. Many thanks.

Hi there, it is not bad but definitively go early morning to enjoy... from the main station take those hop in hop off bus and when you reach the castle ... you can take the stroller ... the road is good and just little walk to go up the castle.. but if you think it is far... even in the castle they have a bus service . you have to pay 3 £ extra.

I will of course take a few snapshots to reminisce later on, but the most important thing for me is to soak it all in while I'm there. :)
