I second that. I picked Parking Lecarre purely because of the logistics. It's close enough to the center and one of the closest ones driving into town. As an added bonus the parking is free but I think you have to park for 3 hours or less to get that. And use the rightmost gates when entering with a sign "gratituitie" or something to that extent. Probably either gates provides the same benefit buit I'm not sure.
Q:
hi there....wondering if y ou could tell me how long the trip took from basel and if it was an easy commute. thank you
A:
I think that the easiest way is by train from Basel bahnhof. it will take about 45 minutes. You will need a tarin toward Strasbourg
Q:
Is the train station anywhere near this old town? I am most likely coming from basel
A:
It's not far from Colmar train station to the centre. We walked with our luggage to Grand'Rue and it was no problem at all.
Q:
Does the Viking river cruise dock within walking distance to the old town?
A:
I'm sorry that I don't know if Viling River cruises dock near the old town. I would suggest that you telephone Viking.
