While Tivoli comes highly recommended by travel guides and locals, it is best suited for families with kids. The gardens are well maintained and lovely, but not enough for a non-amusement park visit.…Full review by Buckslolo

This is probably better for couples or groups. I personally don’t have any interest in theme parks or rides, but walking around here in the evening was really nice and peaceful. Some beautiful scene…Full review by laurenwritesreviews

Hi. We a small family from Cyprus visiting Cph in July, with 2 children age 1 and 5. I am fully aware of the prices and types of tickets but i have a question. Is it worth it booking 2 entrance-ride for adults, 1 child-entrance &ride for our 5 year old and 1 ride-only for our toddler? I am not sure if there are rides that the full family can enter together. I dont think so. Otherwise, i am considering just replacing one adult ticket for one entrance-only for 1 adult, as someone must be left behind taking care of the baby (and switch depending on the rides) and not even buy a ride-only for our 1year old if only 1/2 rides are for her. I dont want to pay, at the end of the day the full prices, if we will not be able to take full advantage of it or if most rides are not for this age of children, having to skip 70% of the rides. if someone can confirm that its worth it then of course i will take the whole deal and end of story :)) Thank you. Lucas

Hi Lucas, Thank you for your lovely message—and how exciting that your family is visiting CPH this July! Tivoli in the summer must be magical, especially for little ones. To help you plan wisely: It’s true that not all rides are suitable for toddlers, and while your 5-year-old will definitely have more options, the number of rides for a 1-year-old is limited (usually just a couple of gentle ones, like the mini train or carousel, and always with an adult). So, purchasing a ride-only ticket for your toddler may not be the most cost-efficient choice—especially if you’re already planning to rotate supervising. As for your idea of having just one adult with ride access while the other gets an entrance-only ticket, that’s a smart and common approach for families with very young children. You can then take turns riding with your 5-year-old while the other enjoys the gardens and shows with your toddler. Tivoli is more than rides—it’s the atmosphere, the beautiful gardens, the live performances, the food, and the joy in kids’ eyes. So even if you don’t go all-in on every ticket type, you’ll still have a heartwarming experience as a family. Wishing you and your little adventurers a memorable trip full of smiles!
Q:
Is there a family pass for the rides. We have 3 children age age 4,6,8
A:
There are passes- the website tells all tivoli.dk and there’s an English toggle. Have fun!
