​The sites are open for general tours Thursday through Monday from May to October. Tours are offered from 11am-4pm, grounds are open from dawn until dusk. The buildings are open by appointment from November through April. ​Tours: $5 for adults, free for children under six, $3 for active military, $3 per person for groups of 10 or more and $3 per student for student programs (call for reservations) and accompanying adults are free. Ben Lomond and its outbuildings were constructed for Benjamin Tasker Chinn in 1832. Confederate forces used Ben Lomond as a hospital following the 1861 Battle of First Manassas. Tour the house, then see the restored slave quarter, smokehouse and dairy and enjoy the fragrant Rose Garden.
