Greenwood is a village in northwest Cass County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 595 at the 2020 census. Greenwood was founded circa 1869 when the Burlington & Missouri River Railroad was extended to that point. The community was named after Silas Greenwood, a pioneer settler.
