I never realised that there is a time limit on how long you can stay in the Green Vault. I’ve been twice and never had a problem taking as long as I want.

It depends on how deeply you are interested in fine art objects. We spent a couple of hours in the historic green vault but other people who were not as fascinated by the detail of the small objects on display were walking through more quickly. We went on to see the new green vault, which does not require a timed ticket, after this and then more of the museums in the same building. We spent the whole day in that set of museums. We still didn’t see everything they had to offer and felt we could have gone back the next day if we’d had time.

Same here. Our tickets were bought on site. When traveling abroad, I always print out whatever tickets we've purchased just in case my phone isn't being cooperative. Much safer that way.
Hi! I know the Green Vault ticket it 12 euros. But besides that do I need to pay another entry fee to get into Residenzschloss? Since the Green Vault is in there I'm wondering if I have to buy 2 tickets just to see it. Thanks!

You can buy separate tickets for the Green Vault and the other museums in the Palace, but the best deal is a combined ticket, about 24 Euros I believe.
