We were in Athens for the weekend and wanted to go for a walk. The park was nice. Trails were well marked. It was too hot to really enjoy the trails. But I would visit again when it was cooler.Full review by pamg110

Easy 10 minute drive from downtown athens. There is a minimal park entrance fee. We rented Kayak which was $8 for the hour.Full review by virginiahome64
Are there places that you can bring your own kayaks to within the park and paddle?

They have a boat ramp on in the park so I would think that you can launch your kayak from there. They have a kayak rental place right by the beach area also.
