Detroit, Illinois is a village in Pike County, Illinois, United States. The population was 83 at the 2010 census, a decline from 93 in 2000. Detroit was laid out in 1837, taking its name after Detroit, Michigan. A post office was established at Detroit in 1845, and remained in operation until the 1970s.
