The view from castle walls is amazing but apart from that I was abit disappointed. There needed to be better signage which gave more information i think personally.Full review by sandramJ1469MC

We took a Tuk Tuk to the castle; it was $10 one way and got us close to the castle entrance. The Tuk Tuk can also give you a tour of Alfama ending at the castle Lisboa is awesome!

I didn’t see any audio guides and they had run out of English guides on the day we visited which were very simple with a map of the castle. I have seen online that it is possible to book a guide but I think it is a private tour. If you are very interested in the history, I recommend you book a guide as we really just experienced it for the uniqueness and views but no understanding of the history. Good luck!
