Ages, it stated at 1030, we had a trip round the stables and at the same time they were riding in the main arena and the young horse arena. So lots to see. Then at 1130 the individual practise starts, there was at least 2 horses being worked at any one time. Sometimes ridden sometimes on foot. We left at 1245 as had to get back but it was still going on. Obviously this is just based on our experience and I am not sure what is standard.

It is super easy, get the Tram or bus to Belém from central Lisbon (€3 ish with a zapping travel card) get off outside the Jerónimos monastery and walk back up the road for about 5 minutes. It is on google maps and easily recognisable. You can buy tickets in advance on the parquesdesintra.pt site. If you wished to get a taxi yes it would be very easy and I would imagine you can find one to take you back as there are loads for the other Belém sites.
Q:
Do you need to book tickets in advance or is there always capacity to come on the day? We'll be there June 1st.
A:
Difficult to predict - it’s a little out of the way, but the gallery is small. If you can, it might be best to book.

A:
Stay in Lisbon. Belem is easy enough to get to.
