The Kourion Archaeological site, 20 minutes west of Limassol, was one of our top two favorite archeological sites in Cyprus. This park should not be missed. A short distance from the park’s entranc…Full review by Bernard W

A not very big, but interesting archaeological site. There is a fairly well-preserved amphitheater and some mosaics. As a bonus, comes the beautiful landscape overlooking the sea.Full review by zuv

We will be arriving from the cruise port and plan to get tickets on the Hop On-Off Bus at the Mall. I have no idea how long a walk this is. Then get on the main road to HOP ON to KOURION. We do not want to be rushed there and take time to get a bite to beat nearby, and return to the Cruise Ship. Have you any feedback on the pros or cons of this? Any recommendations? The cruise tours are rushed and we only have 9:00 am until 6pm. Thank you for your advice you may have.

It would help to know where your cruise ship is going to dock! Kurion is about 45min from Pathos, 30 min from Limassol and 1.5 hours from Larnaca. You need a good 2 or 3 hours to see the Kurion main site reasonably properly so provided you get on with it as soon as you dock you should have plenty of time. Remember there are other related sites, Kurion was a city so is well spread out. The main site is the old city centre then there is the Temple of Apollo and the old racetrack which are back towards Pathos and not really in walking distance. Eating at Kurion will be fun as there is no restaurant on site, just a vending machine for sweets and canned drinks (if there is anything in it and it's working) and there is not much else close to the site either, I am not sure there are any restaurants within reasonable walking distance but I might be mistaken, you might be advised to take a picnic with you!
