Stop by the Ranger Station to pick up a map of the area. The Rangers were able to let us know where animals had had recently been seen, what animals were out and about, and special things to look for in the area. For example, it was late fall when we were there, and ended up being able to see a bear foraging, and knew how to watch without disturbing it's behavior. The Ranger Station sits right on beautiful habitat for moose, beaver, and more.
